    Tim's practice has been focused on providing dental implants for the last decade. He has a skillset that ranges from replacing the single tooth to offering surgery including bone grafting and soft tissue procedures to rehabilitate full arches. He enjoys treating nervous and anxious patients and is qualified to offer sedation. He completed his MSc in Dental Implantology in 2012 and is currently a fellow of The International Team of Implantology (ITI).

    Away from clinic, Tim is involved in postgraduate dental education with The ITI, Health Education England and Bristol University where he holds a teaching position within the Oral Surgery Department.

    Tim welcomes referrals for all aspects of implant dentistry and oral surgery.

    Colin's practice is focused on Restorative Dentistry and Implantology. This includes a particular interest in managing tooth wear and providing minimally-invasive aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry.

    Colin has a Masters in Clinical Dentistry from Kings College, London in fixed and removable prosthodontics and an MSc in Implantology from Bristol University. Additionally, Colin has traveled extensively to learn from the best clinicians in the world including the world-renowned Kois Centre in Seattle. This extensive training enables Colin to provide some of the most contemporary, evidence-based dentistry in his field with a focus on harmonising the longevity and the aesthetics of restorations he provides.

    Like his colleagues, Colin maintains a very active teaching profile. He is a clinical teacher on the Masters Program in Prosthodontics at King's College, London, he is an educator on the Foundation Dentist Scheme in the south-west, teaches for Health Education England and lectures nationally and internationally, particularly in the middle-east, on his beloved subject of tooth wear and prosthodontics.

    Luca has completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Then subsequently undertook a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics at The Eastman Institute (University College London).

    Luca combines his clinical activity with teaching endodontics. He is involved in training qualified dentists to upskill in endodontics, and with Jon runs many hands-on continuing professional development training courses a year.

    He has a passion for contemporary, restoratively driven endodontics which involves preserving as much natural tooth as possible during the root canal process to improve longevity. To achieve this all of his treatments are completed under a dental operating microscope and utilising 3D scanning technologies.

    Dan has been caring for patients at Circus Dental for over 15 years having joined the practice in 2006.

    He has an empathetic approach to patient care for all aspects of restorative dentistry. He has a particular focus of interest in Dental Implants and Oral Surgery. He obtained an MSc with distinction in Implantology in 2012 and has a wide experience in this field being able to reconstruct hard and soft tissues where teeth have to be lost or are missing. Dan is delighted to accept referrals for implant related treatment.

    Dan held a clinical lecturing position at Bristol University based in the Oral Surgery Department at Bristol Dental Hospital for 13 years and now concentrates his educational efforts in post graduate teaching. Dan is an active member of the International Team of Implantology and has had the pleasure of training Europe-wide in his field.

    Jonquil joined Circus Dental in 2013 having worked in Bristol for many years. She joined with an already vast experience in General Practice and we were delighted to welcome her to the practice.

    Jonquil is also a Specialist in Oral Surgery built on a foundation of extensive hospital training. She completed the arduous Fellowship in Dental Surgery in London and worked for several years in MaxilloFacial Surgery units in that region.

    Jonquil practices dentistry utilising a contemporary approach focused on preserving tooth structure through adhesive dentistry and a preventative philosophy. When not in the practice you can usually find Jonquil on a course somewhere, further enhancing her wide-ranging repertoire of clinical skills.

    Peter Heard qualified in dentistry in 1986 from the Welsh National School of Medicine having won the University of Wales “Y Geg” prize in Oral Surgery. After a year of postgraduate training in Restorative Dentistry he entered General Dental Practice in Cardiff whilst retaining a position as an Honorary Clinical Assistant in Restorative Dentistry at the Dental School of the University of Wales College of Medicine.

    Peter moved to the Circus Dental Practice in 1992 and became a partner in 1999, in 2020 he then transitioned from being a partner to an associate.

    Peter has a particular interest in Medical Law and Ethics as it applies to the practice of dentistry. He read Law at the University of the West of England from 1991 whilst practicing dentistry and was passed the Common Professional Examination in 1993. After studying at the University of Wales, Cardiff he was awarded a Masters Degree in Law in the Legal Aspects of Medical Practice in 1997. Peter was given an Honorary Clinical Assistant position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Bristol, Dental Hospital and School in 2002, where he was a Clinical Teacher until 2009. He studied a three year course in various aspects of Restorative Dentistry, receiving postgraduate training in Endodontics, Prosthetic Dentistry and Periodontology and was awarded a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol in 2005. In 2009 Peter completed a years training and certificate in implantology at the University of Bristol as part of the Masters degree program in implantology.

    Mike is one of our general dentists at Circus Dental having joined us in 2019.

    Mike comes with a broad experience in several fields within dentistry. He has worked in The UK and spent time working in New Zealand in general practice. He has also worked as a Specialty Dentist on the Restorative department at Bristol Dental Hospital and most recently within the Oral Surgery department as well.

    Mike's focus is on delivering comprehensive care to enhance long-term outcomes. He is an accredited provider for Invisalign which offers our patients the option to align teeth using clear braces which is often more predictable and more comfortable than other braces.

She is currently undertaking her conscious sedation training and is well placed to work side-by-side with patients to help overcome their fears of coming to the dentist. Additionally, Victoria is completing her postgraduate certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry to offer the very best treatment to tie to her core belief of preserving healthy teeth.

    She has also worked in the oral and maxillofacial surgery department at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, where her treatment had a focus on oral surgery and the management of trauma.

    Qualifying from Trinity College Dublin, he moved to the UK to practice. He completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and then a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics from Kings College, London.

    Richard works fulltime in specialist practice but has previously been involved in teaching of the Masters Endodontic and undergraduate programs at Kings College, London.

    Richard’s progressive approach to endodontics ensures treatment is completed in a conservative, restoratively-driven manner so to improve the longevity of the tooth. This is achieved by completing all treatments under a dental operating microscope and making use of 3D scanning technology.

    Carla practices a full range of contemporary Oral Surgery with a calm and caring manner. Areas of surgery she particularly enjoys, and has much experience in, are the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, the management of impacted canines and other teeth as part of orthodontic treatment, and dental care under conscious sedation using intravenous midazolam. She always takes time to ensure patients are well informed about their treatment and aims to make their experience as comfortable and easy as possible.

    Carla fulfils various other roles in her work, including leadership positions at Bristol Dental Hospital, and she has a strong background in teaching and education with the University of Bristol and Health Education England. Her experience and dedication to safe, high quality care aligns with our approach here at Circus Dental and she would be delighted to receive referrals.

    She has worked in both private and NHS practice since qualifying carrying out preventative hygiene appointments, treatment for periodontal disease, restorations and paediatric dentistry.

    She enjoys helping her patients build on their oral hygiene knowledge and maintain excellent oral health. Her passion is being able to help nervous and paediatric patients to along their dental journey.

    Rachael is a general dentist with over 10 years experience in the South West and until recently she held a teaching role at the University of Bristol as a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative dentistry.

    She has a caring and empathetic approach and takes time to know her patients to understand their health priorities and goals. She likes working with patients in this way to make patient centred care plans whether the goal is to be healthy, to prevent future problems or to give someone a smile that fills them with confidence.

    Rachael has a postgraduate diploma in advanced general dental practice for which she achieved a distinction. It has given her a breadth of knowledge and experience. She has further training and experience in helping anxious patients receive care and has additional skills in acupuncture and intravenous sedation.

    Rachael has also gained experience in cosmetic procedures and has additional skills in orthodontic aligners, facial aesthetics treatments and rehabilitation. She is now undertaking an MSc in Periodontics having developed an interest in this area over recent years.

    Charlotte is a GDC registered Specialist Orthodontist and has also completed the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exam in Orthodontics meaning she is qualified to consultant level.

    Charlotte qualified from Kings College London in 2014 and since then has worked across hospitals in London and the South West. She completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Bristol and was awarded her Membership of Orthodontics in 2020. This education has given her the opportunity to learn from many highly skilled colleagues and treat both straightforward and complex cases. She maintains her connections with The University of Bristol as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics for the undergraduate program.

    Charlotte’s enthusiasm for orthodontics stems from her aspiration to work with patients to achieve their desired outcome, whilst supporting the initiation and maintenance of good habits along the way, so their new smiles can be cared for indefinitely.

    Creating confident smiles so much so that patients say their cheeks ache from smiling so much - that’s the aim.

    Zack graduated with a First-Class Degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the Bristol Dental school in 2023, before joining us at Circus Dental.

    Zack is interested and prides himself in providing care to those dealing with dental anxiety, particularly focussing on ensuring every patient feels comfortable and heard. He believes in providing each patient with the knowledge and skills tailored to them individually to maintain lasting oral health improvements. He actively participates in regular courses and keeps up with the most recent advancements, ensuring that his knowledge is current and that he can deliver care based on the latest techniques and practises.

    Away from dentistry, Zack lives in Bristol with his girlfriend and they enjoy exploring the local area together; particularly long walks rewarded with good food at the end. He is an avid sports fan, including football, and regularly goes to watch games involving his favourite team.
