THE DENTAL CLINICIANS

Tim's practice has been focused on providing dental implants for the last decade. He has a skillset that ranges from replacing the single tooth to offering surgery including bone grafting and soft tissue procedures to rehabilitate full arches. He enjoys treating nervous and anxious patients and is qualified to offer sedation. He completed his MSc in Dental Implantology in 2012 and is currently a fellow of The International Team of Implantology (ITI).

Away from clinic, Tim is involved in postgraduate dental education with The ITI, Health Education England and Bristol University where he holds a teaching position within the Oral Surgery Department.

Tim welcomes referrals for all aspects of implant dentistry and oral surgery.

Colin's practice is focused on Restorative Dentistry and Implantology. This includes a particular interest in managing tooth wear and providing minimally-invasive aesthetic (cosmetic) dentistry.

Colin has a Masters in Clinical Dentistry from Kings College, London in fixed and removable prosthodontics and an MSc in Implantology from Bristol University. Additionally, Colin has traveled extensively to learn from the best clinicians in the world including the world-renowned Kois Centre in Seattle. This extensive training enables Colin to provide some of the most contemporary, evidence-based dentistry in his field with a focus on harmonising the longevity and the aesthetics of restorations he provides.

Like his colleagues, Colin maintains a very active teaching profile. He is a clinical teacher on the Masters Program in Prosthodontics at King's College, London, he is an educator on the Foundation Dentist Scheme in the south-west, teaches for Health Education England and lectures nationally and internationally, particularly in the middle-east, on his beloved subject of tooth wear and prosthodontics.

Luca is a GDC registered specialist endodontist. He has been taking referrals for any dental work relating to root canal treatment for many years and has a wide experience in this area.

Luca has completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Then subsequently undertook a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics at The Eastman Institute (University College London).

Luca combines his clinical activity with teaching endodontics. He is involved in training qualified dentists to upskill in endodontics, and with Jon runs many hands-on continuing professional development training courses a year.

He has a passion for contemporary, restoratively driven endodontics which involves preserving as much natural tooth as possible during the root canal process to improve longevity. To achieve this all of his treatments are completed under a dental operating microscope and utilising 3D scanning technologies.

Jon is a GDC registered specialist endodontist. He has been taking referrals for any dental work relating to root canal treatment for many years and has a wide experience in this area.

He has completed a postgraduate diploma in endodontics at The Royal London Hospital and then subsequently, a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics which he passed with Distinction at Kings College, London. He is an active member of the Royal College Surgeons, Edinburgh.

Jon combines his clinical activity with teaching endodontics. He is involved in training qualified dentists to upskill in endodontics, he has lectured internationally, as far afield as Australia, and is involved in teaching on the Masters program in Endodontics at Kings College, London.

Dan has been caring for patients at Circus Dental for over 15 years having joined the practice in 2006.

He has an empathetic approach to patient care for all aspects of restorative dentistry. He has a particular focus of interest in Dental Implants and Oral Surgery. He obtained an MSc with distinction in Implantology in 2012 and has a wide experience in this field being able to reconstruct hard and soft tissues where teeth have to be lost or are missing. Dan is delighted to accept referrals for implant related treatment.

Dan held a clinical lecturing position at Bristol University based in the Oral Surgery Department at Bristol Dental Hospital for 13 years and now concentrates his educational efforts in post graduate teaching. Dan is an active member of the International Team of Implantology and has had the pleasure of training Europe-wide in his field.

Jonquil joined Circus Dental in 2013 having worked in Bristol for many years. She joined with an already vast experience in General Practice and we were delighted to welcome her to the practice.

Jonquil is also a Specialist in Oral Surgery built on a foundation of extensive hospital training. She completed the arduous Fellowship in Dental Surgery in London and worked for several years in MaxilloFacial Surgery units in that region.

Jonquil practices dentistry utilising a contemporary approach focused on preserving tooth structure through adhesive dentistry and a preventative philosophy. When not in the practice you can usually find Jonquil on a course somewhere, further enhancing her wide-ranging repertoire of clinical skills.

Peter is one of our experienced general dentists at Circus Dental and has been practicing at the clinic for over 25 years.

Peter offers all aspects of general dentistry and is focused on providing treatment that lasts based on his wealth of experience and clinical expertise. He has a particular interest in managing gum disease (periodontitis) and for many years held a teaching position with Bristol University on the restorative department at Bristol Dental Hospital.

Mike is one of our general dentists at Circus Dental having joined us in 2019.

Mike comes with a broad experience in several fields within dentistry. He has worked in The UK and spent time working in New Zealand in general practice. He has also worked as a Specialty Dentist on the Restorative department at Bristol Dental Hospital and most recently within the Oral Surgery department as well.

Mike's focus is on delivering comprehensive care to enhance long-term outcomes. He is an accredited provider for Invisalign which offers our patients the option to align teeth using clear braces which is often more predictable and more comfortable than other braces.

Victoria has a mixed background of nearly 10 years’ experience in both general practice and hospital dentistry.

Victoria has a caring approach and is passionate about delivering patient centred dentistry with a focus on prevention and the preservation of tooth structure. She is currently undertaking her conscious sedation training and is well placed to work side-by-side with patients to help overcome their fears of coming to the dentist. Additionally, Victoria is completing her postgraduate certificate in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry to offer the very best treatment to tie to her core belief of preserving healthy teeth.

She has also worked in the oral and maxillofacial surgery department at the Royal United Hospital, Bath, where her treatment had a focus on oral surgery and the management of trauma.

Dominic is a GDC registered specialist periodontist. He takes referrals for all patients suffering from periodontitis (gum disease) and is experienced in treating the disease with non-surgical, surgical and regenerative therapies. Dominic has an interest in improving patients smiles with cosmetic gum contouring and soft tissue grafting, providing dental implants and managing implant disease.

Dominic is passionate about periodontics which is shown in his approach to achieving the best care for his patients and his involvement in teaching on the undergraduate program at Kings College London and to qualified dentists within the UK.

Richard is a GDC registered specialist endodontist and has been receiving endodontic referrals for a number of years both in the UK and previously Ireland, gaining a great deal of experience.

Qualifying from Trinity College Dublin, he moved to the UK to practice. He completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and then a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics from Kings College, London.

Richard works fulltime in specialist practice but has previously been involved in teaching of the Masters Endodontic and undergraduate programs at Kings College, London.

Richard’s progressive approach to endodontics ensures treatment is completed in a conservative, restoratively-driven manner so to improve the longevity of the tooth. This is achieved by completing all treatments under a dental operating microscope and making use of 3D scanning technology.

Carla is a GDC registered Specialist in Oral Surgery and currently works as a Consultant in Oral Surgery at Bristol Dental Hospital as well as here at Circus Dental.

Carla practices a full range of contemporary Oral Surgery with a calm and caring manner. Areas of surgery she particularly enjoys, and has much experience in, are the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, the management of impacted canines and other teeth as part of orthodontic treatment, and dental care under conscious sedation using intravenous midazolam. She always takes time to ensure patients are well informed about their treatment and aims to make their experience as comfortable and easy as possible.

Carla fulfils various other roles in her work, including leadership positions at Bristol Dental Hospital, and she has a strong background in teaching and education with the University of Bristol and Health Education England. Her experience and dedication to safe, high quality care aligns with our approach here at Circus Dental and she would be delighted to receive referrals.

Dani studied for her dental hygiene and therapy degree at Cardiff university and graduated with honours in 2014.

She has worked in both private and NHS practice since qualifying carrying out preventative hygiene appointments, treatment for periodontal disease, restorations and paediatric dentistry.

She enjoys helping her patients build on their oral hygiene knowledge and maintain excellent oral health. Her passion is being able to help nervous and paediatric patients to along their dental journey.

Karen’s primary goal has always been achieving optimal results in periodontal health. She believes this is best achieved by working cooperatively with both patients and fellow clinicians.

She has worked to develop comprehensive periodontal protocols to support this and ensure the best possible outcomes by involving patients in their treatment at every step of the way.

Karen prides herself on her ability to put patients at ease and develop a supportive relationship with even the most anxious patients.
