Mike 1

Mike is one of our General Dentists having started with us in 2019.

Graduating from the University of Bristol, Mike has worked in practices based in Bristol and further afield in New Zealand.

Mike provides all aspects of general dentistry as well as orthodontic treatments using Invisalign clear aligners as a cosmetically subtle method of straightening teeth. He offers this with tooth whitening included, and with options like composite bonding available also, which is a superb option to help transform a patient's smile.

Mike has three years of experience working in specialist oral surgery units in Bristol and Sheffield which enables him to offer these services to patients as well as complex dental extractions including wisdom teeth, in as comfortable a way as possible.

Mike has recently completed training in indepth planning of Invisalign cases, and modern techniques involved in placing ideal composite (white) fillings, and tooth-coloured crowns and onlays. As well as previously completing a course in endodontics (root canal fillings) that is provided by Jon and Luca, who are specialists in this field, within the practice.

Mike likes to provide his patients with a long term solution to any issue and will always take the time to discuss the pros and cons for any treatment so that the patient can make a fully informed decision.

Mike is a strong believer in the power of digital dentistry, and utilises this in a number of aspects of his care giving. This can help him to plan and carry out Invisalign treatment, as well create crowns and bridges for patients without the need for impressions of the teeth.

Mike also routinely uses modern adhesive techniques for general dentistry such as white fillings to maximise the strength of these restorations. This also can significantly increase patient comfort as it protects the rest of the mouth from water and anything else during the treatment.

Personal Information

In 2023 Mike and his wife welcomed twins into their  family which takes up almost all of his time away from dentistry now! They are brilliant fun if quite challenging at times, and along with his Cockapoo, their house is a lot noisier than it used to be.

When Mike gets time away from teeth and his twins, he usually tries to play golf or cricket with varying levels of success…
