Luca is a GDC registered specialist endodontist. Growing up between Italy and France Luca moved to the UK for his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Having completed his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, Luca subsequently completed his specialist training at The Eastman Dental Institute (University College London) obtaining his master’s in clinical Dentistry in Endodontics and passing the MEndo examination with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
Luca is one of the managing partners at Circus Dental and has been taking endodontic referrals for over 10 years, encompassing all aspects of root canal treatment including retreatment, surgery and trauma cases.
Luca has a passion for contemporary, restoratively driven endodontics which involves preserving as much natural tooth as possible during the root canal process to improve longevity. All treatments are carried out with the aid of 3D scanning technologies, a Zeiss dental operating microscope and the latest relevant technologies available to enhance treatment outcomes.
As a global key opinion leader for Dentsply Sirona, Luca is involved with the education of dentists nationally and internationally, keeping abreast of the development of clinically relevant technologies, techniques and protocols.
In 2015, Luca and his colleague Jon Cowie, co-founded the educational company, Contemporary Endodontics. Through this teaching platform they have delivered small group courses and workshops, training well over 1000 dentists. They have lectured internationally and are at the forefront of Digital Based Workflow in Endodontics, most recently delivering a lecture on this topic at the Global Endodontics Key Opinion Leader Forum in Lisbon. They have taught at Kings College London on the master’s Programme and are involved with the induction training of new specialists at The Eastman Dental Institute, London.
