After completing a BDentSC Postgraduate at Trinity College, Dublin in 2012, Richard subsequently completed a Masters of Clinical Dentistry at King’s College London, in 2019, specialising in Endodontics.
Richard joined Circus Dental in 2020 having first seen Circus Dental in 2012 when passing through Bath as he moved back from Ireland. He made a mental note that it was somewhere he’d like to work one day and, low and behold, 8 years later he joined the team.
Richard is a Member of the British Endodontic Society and has had work previously published in the IEJ during his time at Guy’s Dental Hospital. He is also currently SEO of the Langham Endodontic Study Group and gives lectures to referring dentists at various practices.
Having completed direct restorative dentistry (composite), surgical endodontics and regenerative endodontics qualifications, Richard offers painless, effective treatments for all his patients in a welcoming and relaxed environment.
Richard’s progressive approach to endodontics ensures treatment is completed in a conservative, restoratively-driven manner which improves the longevity of the tooth. This is achieved by completing all treatments under a dental operating microscope and making use of 3D scanning technology.

In his spare time Richard likes reading, history, hiking, mountain biking, board games, being in the mountains – summer or winter - and has a new-found interest in gardening
