We were very excited to recently host a TedX style event in Bath.
This exclusive evening of captivating talks blended dentistry, innovation, and technology!
With talks led by four of our very own highly knowledgeable team, interactive Q&A’s and informal discussions with industry experts, the evening also included guest speaker Stephen Booth - Head of Hub Northern Europe at Straumann Group.
The night was not only hugely informative and a great opportunity for the local dental community to network, but it also raised a brilliant £899.20 for the Parkinson's UK charity.
Jon Cowie and Luca Moranzoni presented ‘The Magnificent Seven’ - a presentation that shared with the delegation, seven interesting, vital tools, techniques and workflows, to lead to better patient outcomes and experiences at the clinic when it comes to Specialist Endodontic treatment.
Jon explains how successful the evening was:
“It was a real privilege to share the room with our wonderful referrers who place trust in us to look after their patients, I never take this for granted. It was a super fun evening and wonderful to be able to support a charity that is so close to some of our team.”
Tim Harris led a talk on how digital workflows can enhance patient outcomes in implant dentistry. Tim reflects on the evening:
“It was a lovely chance to meet new colleagues, connect with those that we haven’t seen for a while and remind ourselves that digital dentistry can really help us, help patients with better patient-focused outcomes.
The opportunity to share how far implant dentistry has come to allow predictable, faster and less invasive treatments in an informal setting was great fun. We look forward to trying it again next year. It was great to see so many familiar faces.”
Dan Beevers who also presented on the hot topic of Artificial Intelligence and dentistry, explains how informative events like these are vital to the dental community:
“This was a brilliant opportunity to engage our local community of dentists and to suggest some ideas of how they might be able to take some of our learning into their own everyday practice.
The use of technology and dentistry has come so far and is evolving so quickly so it is great to be able to share ideas amongst colleagues.
The charity is particularly close to my heart and we are delighted to raise such an amazing sum. I am very much looking forward to our other further educational events in the coming year.”
