Keep your teeth healthy at home
We asked our dentists for some top household tips for keeping their, and their family's teeth, healthy at home. Here's what they said...
No fluoride-free toothpaste
Fluoride is essential for protecting teeth from decay so no fluoride-free toothpastes allowed in our dentist's homes.
Ban the trampoline
Having seen so much dental trauma caused from trampolines, our dentists are understandably wary about kids (and adults!) bouncing on these garden toys.
Change it for a climbing frame or get some mouth guards at the ready!
Moderation is key
You don't have to ban all the naughty food and drinks, instead just be more mindful of your choices.
Reduce the amount of sugar and processed foods, get good sleep and exercise regularly - your overall health feeds into your oral health and vice versa!
Quick fixes don't work
Quick fixes like at home veneer kits or snap on smiles might seem like a good idea but they can often cause more damage and hide real problems.
One size fits all is never a real solution when it comes to oral health.
Come and see one of our dentists for a bespoke treatment plan for your individual needs. You and your teeth are worth it.
