Circus Dental is proud to be fully accredited by Invisalign and able to offer their tooth straightening treatment to all patients.
Invisalign is the world market-leading provider of clear tooth aligners and the treatment is a superb alternative to traditional braces in the correct cases.
Traditionally orthodontic treatment to move teeth has involved brackets and wires that are bonded to the teeth for the duration of the treatment. Invisalign treatment has many advantages over this, as the aligners can be removed to allow perfect oral hygiene as well as ease of eating and drinking which can be really awkward with brackets and wires.
Invisalign Aligners
Invisalign aligners are totally see-through, and only engage with the teeth via small attachments of white filling that are custom planned for the tooth movements required in each patient. This makes them almost imperceptible and therefore a much more socially subtle way to achieve a straighter smile.
Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign treatment can also be planned more exactly than traditional orthodontic treatment. At the initial consultation a scan of the teeth is taken to build computerised 3D models of the teeth. This is then used to plan treatment options; we use these scans together with Invisalign data gathered from over 8 million patients worldwide over a number of years. This makes the tooth movements more predictable, and also enables us to show a simulated outcome of what we can achieve.
Invisalign Go
We use the Invisalign Go system and the cost of treatment with us is £3400-£4000. This includes the consultation and treatment stages as well as tooth whitening and the retainers required to keep teeth in their new position long term after treatment. All of this is custom planned for each patient depending on what is required and whether the Invisalign Go system is the correct treatment for the individual.
On average, Invisalign Go treatment tends to take an average of 6-9 months; considerably less time than a lot of other orthodontic options, but this does depend on the individual case.
With all tooth movement there is a degree of mild discomfort, but certainly not significant pain. The aligners worn for treatment are changed every 1-2 weeks depending on the case and some discomfort tends to come with each aligner change as the next stage of tooth movement starts. This is usually very mild and tolerated well by patients.
